Ontario and Quebec
October 29, 2008
Just finished a 2 week trip out East visiting my brother and doing some shooting around Toronto and Montreal. My timing was bang on. After the colors had faded out west, I was just in time for the change out East. A great trip and a beautiful time of year to head east.

Autumn Mountain Biking
October 29, 2008
It seemed like summer had finally arrived here in the Canadian Rockies by the time September rolled around. Better late than never…. The fall colors were unbelieveable this year and lasted for what seemed like weeks. I took advantage of this and captured some new mountain biking images from around Golden, Banff and Canmore.

Patagonia Cover

A photo from my trip to Niseko, Japan last winter has landed on the cover of Patagonia Japan’s Ski & Snowboard Catalog. The image is of Patagonia ambassador Taro Tamai railing a sweet toeside slash in the Niseko backcountry.

Highline Trail
September 15, 2008
Canmore’s new mountain bike trail is nearly complete. For years there have been access issues here and trails have shut down because of it - so this is a big deal and definitely a step in the right direction for the riding here in Canmore. Upon completion in June 2009, the trail will entail 7km of the some of the best singletrack in the valley with various descent options along that distance. The trail weaves its way along the lower flanks of Ha Ling and Grassi Peak, across avalanche drainages, creek beds and combined with lush northfacing forest makes for an instant classic. With half of the trail already completed and ridable, definitely check it out. The leaves are just starting to change here and it’s that perfect time of year to rip some sweet singletrack….

Mt Uto, Roger’s Pass
August 21, 2008
Roger’s Pass is an incredible place. My time spent there has been mainly in the winter and for good reason - it has some of the best snow and terrain for ski touring I’ve ever experienced period. I spent a day there with my buddy John Freeman and we went up Mt Uto - a beautiful ridge climb on classic quartzite. A sweet day in the Selkirks under bomber blue skies.
